The call for OPEN /// CREAZIONE CONTEMPORANEA 2018 is open to artists (individuals, companies or groups) who work in the context of contemporary creation and aims to produce projects that are developed in dialogue with urban spaces and the inhabitants of the city of Pergine Valsugana with the aim of promoting artistic growth and visibility at a regional and national level.
Urban space will be the thematic focus for the new call for OPEN // CREAZIONE CONTEMPORANEA 2018, promoted by Pergine Spettacolo Aperto and aimed at artists from all over Italy who work in the context of contemporary creation.
This 7th edition is looking for projects that develop a dialogue between urban space and the citizens of Pergine Valsugana, in order to strengthen the presence in the public sphere. The selection looks for projects capable of imagining, reinventing and exploring the public dimension through creations that temporarily transform the spaces and their relations.
OPEN // CONTEMPORARY CREATION 2018 will support artistic and architectural installations, performances and audio-visual projects that redefine or reuse spaces in the city, but also participatory projects that involve citizens, so that the public can rediscover a new connection with the territory, with its narrations, its representations, its dreams.
The call, which will support the projects both in terms of production costs and with artistic fees, is targeted to individual artists, collectives and companies from all over Italy; at least one project by an artist (or group of artists) living in Trentino Alto Adige will be supported. All funded projects will be included in the program of the upcoming Festival to be held in the first half of July 2018.
