The preview of Pergine Festival 2024

The countdown has begun: Pergine Festival 2024 is just four months away. The festival, artistically led by Babilonia Teatri, will be titled “Senti come suona” (Feel how it sounds). From June 29th to July 13th, Pergine Valsugana will transform into a widespread stage. But in April, there will already be a first preview event.

Senti come suona is not just a title; it is an invitation to immerse oneself in the universe of artists’ creations. The goal is clear: to resonate thoughts and themes brought to the stage by artists, hoping to stimulate, stretch, caress, and distort the imaginations of those who will be present to witness.

In 2024, the festival expands over time, spaces, and proposals. In addition to the rich summer schedule, the festival will offer previews as early as April.

Don’t miss the preview on April 10th, as part of the Festival Bellandi: From Syria: Is this a Child? by Fieno Di Chio, a performance bridging the 48th and 49th editions of the festival. The story of Giorgia, an Italian fourteen-year-old, and Abdo, a young Syrian refugee, unfolds through an intense friendship and the real-time sharing of experiences. An emotional journey that poses a fundamental question to all of us: what kind of adult do we want to become?

Miriam Selima Fieno and Nicola Di Chio are two young actors, directors, and authors gaining recognition in Italy for the originality of their work, employing documentary language forms to merge theater, narrative journalism, and real cinema. Already known to the Festival audience for “Fuga dall’Egitto,” they return to Pergine in a symbolic passing of the torch between the previous and the new edition.

Annalisa Limardi, born in 1997, the artist winning the “Non Addomesticabili” grant with the project NO, will take up the mantle. Limardi’s research as a young choreographer and dancer focuses on the difficulty of recognizing and defending personal and intimate boundaries. During the Festival Bellandi, we will witness an initial study of the project. The final performance will be presented nationally in July during Pergine Festival 2024.
