PART OF THE  “STRONGER PERIPHERIES” EUROPEAN PROJECT

An empty orchestra is the stage for a concert without bodies. A ghost concert joints the voices of Latin American migrants living today in Portugal and Spain. Their testimonies compose a score that relates the contemporary migratory processes with colonial history.

Who are these new migrants? Which desires prompted them to migrate to the country that colonized them?

The inversion between the stage and audience, who looks and is being looked at,  radically changes perspectives.

We were struck by the necessity, beauty and coherence of this show. Tiago Cadete transforms live recordings into a story for only voices. The ordinary in the extraordinary. It subverts the theater’s rules to make it great.

At the end of the show an aperitif will be offered to the audience by Proposta Vini.
