A plot between documentary theater, live music, real cinema, eastern sounds, and electronics. Inspired by the book “Escape from Egypt inquiry on the diaspora of the post-coup” by Azzurra Meringolo Scarfoglio, Miriam Selima Fieno and Nicola Di Chio, they run research on the Egyptian diaspora after the Arab Spring. That is, the betrayed dream of many journalists, trade unionists, artists, doctors, poets, politicians and activists who, threatened by the repression in Egypt, had to choose the painful path of exile.

Miriam and Nicola know the world from which the Mediterranean sea split or join us. They tell it with lucid passion and visual strength. Through the voices and images of those who are children of that world, but the regime has established that they can no longer be citizens.
