SPECIAL MENTION SCENARIO AWARD 2021

A theatrical performance of pure comic rhythm, staging a compendium of the drifts of today’s society. Two actors and an actress do and say things in honor of the great God of Capital, playing with language in a funambulistic way, disseminating theatrical and verbal pitfalls with which our customs can be “captured.” As the Scenario Award motivation states, “Capitalist Surrealism” is “a kind of vademecum offered in a seemingly lighthearted way to those who might suffer from capitalism without being aware of it.”

We have always been fascinated by those who can do theater without theater. Without the need for fireworks. Here we encounter the ability to tear apart the world we inhabit with words alone.
